Tea Time

I dont know whats the hype with exotic or luxury teas. First it was Tea Salon in Starhill Gallery now a new place in town for tea lovers to consume various type of luxury teas that I cant even remember or pronounce. Originated from Singapore Its called TWG Tea Salon & Boutique, located in  glamorous part of Pavilion , the Couture Pavilion. TWG Tea Salon & Boutique replaced Cafe De Stella which also owned by the same company Valiram Group. Although it has smaller range of proper dining food they have a long list of teas starts from MYR18 per pot. And you should not share a tea pot with another person , you are supposed to order one pot for each person.I had difficulties in choosing a tea , even the extra booklet which explains describe the tea is not much of a help to me because it was too long so did't bother to read. But fortunately for me the waitress actually brought the whole tin of the tea leaf for me to differentiate between the green tea I was looking at.. So I had the chance to smell them but I cant tell any differences so I just picked the cheaper one (er CHEAPEST LOL). Anyway I was told by a media friend that their signature tea is the black tea, so I might try that on my next visit.

Besides a long list of different types of teas they also serve tea macaroons, cakes, muffins, and other other stuffs like that. However the kitchen serve limited choice of appetizers and main course such as foei gras, smoked salmon with caviar, wagyu burger, seared salmon and few more.

Anyway now it is my favourite dining and chill out place whenever I visit Pavilion. Been there a couple of times already since its opening so I had the chance to try out few teas already.

Picture taken from Valiram Group website.

I cant remember how much each macaroon cost I think less than MYR10 each

I am not sure what tea I am drinking on this picture but so far I've tried coconut tea, some earl grey i cant remember the full name, emperor something green tea, and chocolate tea.

Seared Salmon, taste really good and reasonably priced at only MYR40+

Smoked Salmon with Caviar

The portion of the wagyu burger is really small but you get what you pay for , for just MYR40+ its an affordable wagyu burger.

Speaking of wagyu burger I've yet to post the picture of Ritz Carlton wagyu burger that I had the chance to eat, this reminds me of my promise to post about my lastest stay in Ritz Carlton Residence,  Bukit Bintang.

This time we stayed in a just a two bedroom suite.

 Room service has arrived.

Complimentary from the hotel (besides the mineral water and fruits)

the lion chocolate is only worthy to be consumed by an alpha male.

This is the most expensive creme brulee I had ever eaten but also the best.

This is actually the cheapest main course you can order from the room service for only MYR70+

Presentation is slightly different from the first time I ordered wagyu burger from Ritz Carlton room service nonetheless the taste is good as ever. Price is at MYR120 almost 4 times more expensive than 1837 TWG tea's Wagyu Burger's.

This picture is just for illustration purposes, I dont actually eat burgers like this .. i didt actually used the fork and knife lol.

This is the missing picture that I forgot to post last time, The first time the first wagyu burger I've eaten. (notice the difference in presentation?)

And the next morning (in case you dont know by 12am midnight you have to tick which breakfast you would like and the time you want your breakfast to be served. (if you are still asleep they would leave the breakfast in the dining place) and of course its not free you have to pay for everything you ordered.

  Japanese Breakfast

Pancake for breakfast , one of the cheapest breakfast in the menu costing more than MYR50

Reading inspirational stories from Malaysian Tatler.

In the most corner of the room lies a stalker. An alpha male stalker.

From Pavilion returning to our suite in Ritz Carlton Residence through Starhill Gallery.

Well staying 5 minute walks from Pavilion and Starhill Gallery is always bad for the wallet.
